{"id":1862,"date":"2021-06-29T15:35:22","date_gmt":"2021-06-29T15:35:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/powertasting.com\/?p=1862"},"modified":"2021-06-30T18:05:11","modified_gmt":"2021-06-30T18:05:11","slug":"paraduxx","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/powertasting.com\/?p=1862","title":{"rendered":"Paraduxx"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Duckhorn Vineyards is one of Napa Valley iconic wineries, best known for its Merlots.\u00a0 \u00a0In 1994, they began to expand the number of wineries and labels under which it produced wine, the names of which are all related to our little quacking friends.\u00a0 The first of these was Paraduxx (<a href=\"about:blank\">www.paraduxx.com<\/a>) which today occupies a rather unique niche in the valley\u2019s winemaking.<\/p>\n<p>All their wines are blends, except their ros\u00e9.\u00a0 That in itself is not so exceptional; many wineries mix their grapes, but most stick either to Bordeaux or Rh\u00f4ne varietals.\u00a0 Paraduxx follows the Australian example: Blend anything with anything else and if it tastes good, bottle it.\u00a0 So you\u2019ll find bottles of Paraduxx wines that contain Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel, Syrah and Viognier (like C\u00f4te R\u00f4tie) and even one made of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Tempranillo and Merlot.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/powertasting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/paraduxx3-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1885 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/powertasting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/paraduxx3-2-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"573\" height=\"323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/powertasting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/paraduxx3-2-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/powertasting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/paraduxx3-2-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/powertasting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/paraduxx3-2-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/powertasting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/paraduxx3-2.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 573px) 100vw, 573px\" \/><\/a><em>Enjoying an outdoor wine tasting at Paraduxx.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The people at Paraduxx want to make visiting their winery a <em>fun<\/em> experience.\u00a0 Of course, they want you to come and taste their wines.\u00a0 But they\u2019d also like you to bring your kids and your dog. (Both need to be well-behaved but only fido needs to be on a leash).\u00a0 They invite you to relax under trees or umbrellas in their courtyard or on their veranda and stay a while.
