{"id":2657,"date":"2024-05-31T16:34:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-31T16:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/powertasting.com\/?p=2657"},"modified":"2024-05-31T16:34:00","modified_gmt":"2024-05-31T16:34:00","slug":"solo-tasting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/powertasting.com\/?p=2657","title":{"rendered":"Solo Tasting"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tasting wine all by yourself isn\u2019t that much fun.&nbsp; There\u2019s no one to exult with when you discover an unknown gem.&nbsp; Or sneer at a loser.&nbsp; Or just keep you company.&nbsp; And wine tasting alone at home leads to all kinds of problems.&nbsp; Still, there are times when you\u2019re traveling alone and you\u2019re in a place where vineyards are nearby.&nbsp; In some cases, you may be in a place where you are already familiar with the wines, so passing up a tasting trip may be easy to accept.&nbsp; But if you are in a distant, previously unvisited location you may feel that you simply <em>must<\/em> take advantage of the occasion.&nbsp; So if you may be considering a solo wine tasting adventure, here are some things to consider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/powertasting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wine_taxi.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"609\" height=\"165\" src=\"https:\/\/powertasting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wine_taxi.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2658\" style=\"width:816px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/powertasting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wine_taxi.png 609w, https:\/\/powertasting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wine_taxi-300x81.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 609px) 100vw, 609px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Photo courtesy of Waiheke Island Tours<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Try not to go alone<\/strong>.\u00a0 On a business trip, there may be a client who would go with you.\u00a0 Or a fellow conventioneer.\u00a0 Or a relative you\u2019ve been meaning to call anyway.\u00a0 If you are organizing a meeting, you might add on a wine tasting day, for <a href=\"https:\/\/powertasting.com\/?p=223\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"223\">team-building purposes<\/a>.
